Last Thursday, April 4th, was Caroline's third birthday! When she woke up she asked if she was taller, as she stood on her tiptoes :) We went downstairs and had breakfast and then opened gifts with Gramma, via Skype. Afterwards, we played with all of her new stuff and worked on decorating her birthday cake for that night.
That evening, we went to the Steakhouse with Nana & Grampy. Afterwards, we all came back and opened presents and had cake. That night Caroline read her two new birthday books to Daddy and I and did a fabulous job :) Oh, how three years happened so fast!

Last Wednesday night Caroline was being super cute and had set up a makeshift crib for her baby. I honestly love that she does this and has such a great imagination. So, I started videotaping her :) Birthday pictures to come tomorrow, in the meantime. Our babe on her last night being two!
The other night at dinner Caroline surprised us with a new trick :P This was hilarious since a few of my family members also have this skill. I ran and got my phone and snapped a couple of pictures and a short video :)
Today our little girl is three. As I went to sleep last night I realized that Caroline would no longer be two. No more toddler age at all. We have headed into pre-school territory now. I wanted to go wake her up and snuggle for those last few moments of being two. But, then she woke up this morning and was so happy and proud that she was three. She proclaimed that she was taller as she stood on tiptoes. This year we will seek new adventures and she will teach me even more about our world. I love you my sweet little Caroline and Daddy and I are so, so proud of you!
This morning we opened presents with Gramma on Skype, this afternoon we've played and in the evening we will head out to dinner with Nana and Grampy and come back for cake and presents. I'll post pictures in the next coming days. But today is about spending time with each other. Granted, I wanted to post something on her actual birthday :) Tomorrow is party prep and then Saturday is her big party! She is so excited!
Last Thursday was a make up day for gymnastics since the previous week was canceled due to a snow storm. Alan already had taken the day off so it was perfect! I let them go in by themselves and I hung back and tried to snap some pictures. A lot still came out blurry since someone is always running :) I'll have to work on my settings, as she definitely wont be slowing down anytime soon!

I'm a few days late, but we've been so busy with our regular schedule and then planning Caroline's 3rd birthday and Easter we've had our hands full! Alan also took off Thursday and Friday, so I didn't want to spend that time on the computer!
This week Caroline and I went and visited the Easter bunny and had some fun at the mall. We voted on Tuesday and worked on some party prep. Then on Friday we hit Red Robin's because Caroline had been asking for it all week and she had a birthday coupon from there. We hit the Tractor Supply store first to visit the chicks and ducklings and then afterwards had fun with the camping gear at Cabella's! Saturday Caroline and Daddy took the dogs to the beach and then that night we celebrated Mrs. Rousseau's birthday at the Bounce House! No pictures from there this time, Caroline has become quite fast and efficient in there!
