Caroline's last day of school was postponed by a week due to snow days, but she was a trooper and had a fun week anyways :) She was so excited to become a third grader, but a little sad to be leaving second grade behind. Second grade was an amazing year for her. She really blossomed. She had a few challenges, namely her broken elbow, but she didn't let that get in her way. She became more confident and poised. Her love of reading was nurtured by an amazing teacher and she was soon reading Harry Potter books. Her math skills excelled to the point of needing extra work given to her by the 4th grade gifted and talented teacher. She had an amazing year with her Brownie troop and personally did a lot of work for the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital. She already has big plans for next year, but for now we're going to relax and enjoy summer a bit :)
Some of the 2nd graders met up for a walk to school on the last day
Off the bus and ready to hear who her 3rd teacher will be,
Mr.Nye! She was excited about both of them, but loved the idea of having a
coll male teacher who hopped up on desks and was super silly
George's last day was definitely bittersweet. We were ready to start summer, but not ready to say, "good bye." George had an amazing two years at Cocoons and we (mostly me) are so sad to see it end. They nurtured him and helped him grow into an even more amazing George. Now, he's a big kid gearing up for a move to Kennebunk Elementary School in the newly formed pre-K program! He is super excited, but there were lots of emotions on his last day.
If you notice there is a sign to the left of the picture.
