By the way...

we have a walker. She's been capable for a while now. Then, on April 1st, she started walking more then a few steps. She held out for a while again, being able to get places faster with her sideways knee scoot. This past Monday she started walking. Tuesday even more. By Wednesday, she was a certified walker. I think it may have something to do with hanging out with friends and seeing them walk!

This is the first time she walked barefoot. She is usually in her footie pajamas, so she is being a little more cautious then she normally is at home.

She can do it herself!

For the past few weeks Caroline has been waking up at night, once or twice a week, crying from hunger. This is out of character, since she's been sleeping through the night since 3 months. The past week she has decided that she isn't interested in purees, barely interested in finger foods, and really doesn't care for her bottle. Knowing that she is fine physically, I've just been pushing along. It's frustrating, but what can you do?

Caroline has had no interest in her spoon, but today I decided to give her her spoon with some food on it. Actually, it was a last ditch effort. Well, the video below shows it all. She wanted to do it herself! This is the first meal she has eaten without protesting. Go Caroline! My big girl!

Speaking of eating, I took this video last week of Caroline eating her first sandwich. Figure it fits with this post :)

Swinging

Here's a video of us at the park last week. Thought it was too cute not to share!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter Everyone!

What a difference a year makes. Last year, our little bunny hoped into our lives on Easter day. NOW, I feel like Caroline is a year. Her birthday has come and gone, but now that today is Easter it really feels like she's one. We've come full circle.
Here are some pictures of our morning and then dinner at Grampy and Nana's. It may be her first Easter with baskets, bunnies, and eggs, but it isn't her first Easter with us.

My cup runneth over today. All I've wanted to do is hug her continuously, but I had to share :)

The Great Cloth Diaper Change

Our baby is a Guinness Book of World Records baby now.

Today, Caroline and I took part in The Great Cloth Diaper Change that was being held all over the world. We're proud cloth diaper users and want the word spread on how easy and wonderful they are. They are great for the Earth, they are great for your wallet, and they are good for your baby's bum too!

We had a lot of fun running into friends and we even scored a swag bag filled with lots of goodies.

This was the only shot I could get today. It was a bit chaotic and it's difficult NOT getting other babies in the pictures. Caroline was doing her best to block out the others :)

Hope you all had a wonderful Earth Day! Now, we're just waiting for the Easter Bunny to hop down this trail.

The Easter Bunny!

Monday afternoon we decided we would meet Daddy, after work, up in Portland and see if we could find the Easter Bunny.

Caroline was a little tired, but she was still happy to see all of the people. As always, she was full of waves and blew lots of kisses. When it was her turn to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap she blew lots of kisses and waved to the photographer. She was pretty content, until the photographer used a squeaky toy to get her attention. Caroline, as always, wasn't having this. She just started staring at the photographer with her intense look. Probably thinking, "I'm not a dog you fool!" The shot we took home is of her finishing one of her kisses to the photographer. What can I say? My daughter blows kisses to the camera :)

We're calling the visit to the Easter Bunny a success, just like Santa. I'd rather have an intense baby versus the poor little guy who was screaming bloody murder after her! Oh, and what was Caroline's response to this? Wave at the little boy :)

Busy having fun!

This past week or so has been pretty busy. Caroline went to her last Osteopath appointment, no more needed for her neck and tummy, so we're pretty happy with that. Alan has also been busy with building our back deck. Can't wait for that to be finished. I see lots of meals out there this Summer!

It's Spring here in Maine, which means gloomy, miserable days or gorgeous days. No in between! On the nice days we've been going for walks, playing at the park, and visiting farms. On the gloomy days we've been going to playgroups, going out to eat, and dancing around the living room.

The playgroups have been great. Caroline is making a lot of local friends now. Most of her previous friends lived up in Portland, so it's nice to have a few up the road. We've also learned that Caroline is a "pistol" and has more energy then some of the 3 year olds!

On walks, Caroline likes to wave at everybody passing by. Guess she is just fulfilling her royal duties.

Here are some pictures of our outing to the park. We weren't quite sure if she liked the swing, since she didn't show any excitement, but she cried when we took her out so that answered our question! She loved the little horse, but did not care for the slide one bit!
