Pool Setup & 1st Boat Ride of the Season

It's starting to look a lot more like summer now. The pool is being filled and we went on our first boat ride of the season and George's first boat ride in the Sweet Caroline. He did great and kept yelling "GO!" as we went fast and he watched the wake behind him. Think he'll get his sea legs quickly this summer!

Last Tee Ball Game of the Season

Caroline's last tee ball game was Saturday, June 13th. We were all excited to complete the season. No really, it was a lot of fun and there were ups and downs, but it was nice to complete it and see Caroline go out there and give it her best. She really did great. She fielded, she hit, and she ran! There were no tears or quitting. At the end, Coach Mike treated the kids to some juice and ice cream sandwiches. He passed out game balls to the kids with their jersey number on it and let them have their paper baseballs from the banner with their names on it as well. The kids played on the playground for a few minutes and then said good bye to each other. Hopefully, we come across them again. Caroline says she is looking forward to next year, so we'll see :)

Week of 6/7 in Pictures

This week was filled with errands, fun, election day, and our last tee ball for the season. It was quite busy, but the weather was nice which made things a lot easier!

Sunday 6/7

Warmer weekends are here which means we are trying to make the most of them. Doing fun things with the kids, while trying to get the yard ready for the summer! We started the morning off doing a few things around the house and then headed out to Blackrock Farms to finish our plant purchases. We also visited with some of our favorite friends like Miss Ashely and her new baby and the bunnies! We came home and did some planting, had an early dinner and then headed out for a Sunday drive. The kids weren't keen on the drive so they napped which was very peaceful! We ended up at camp to check in and then headed out to Shaw's Ridge for ice cream. We hadn't been there in a couple of years so it was nice to get back. We love it there since the kids can play on the playground and there is plenty of room to run around. This was George's first visit and it was neat to see him hang out in the playhouse that Caroline used to when she was little. It was also wild to see Caroline all over the swing-set that she once needed our help to get up on! Times are a changing!

Week of 5/31 in Pictures

Another week in the books! We started off the week with no tee ball practise due to rain. That was fine since we needed a break to regroup from tee ball. The rest of the week we were pretty busy doing some things around here and trying to get out to the park etc. Not that many pictures this week, but that's okay since the blog could use a break from so many pictures!
