This was our second week of vacation and we took it a lot slower. We mostly stayed home and played with our new toys and just relaxed. Enjoying the fact that we didn't have to be anywhere. Alan had Thursday and Friday off so we also got some more time in with Daddy. The kids are really starting to have fun playing together and apart so that's fun to see.

This year we decided to let Caroline have some New Years fun. Staying up late, having some fun food, the works! She chose the menu; Chicken tenders, french fries and mozzarella sticks. Since she has never liked chicken tenders, I was a little apprehensive but this was a choice other than macaroni and cheese so I went with it! We made everything from scratch and hoped she'd like it. She did! Then we brought out the fun blowers and tiara's and played for a few minutes and then put George to bed. We made popcorn and watched "How to Train Your Dragon 2" and then watched the ball drop at 9:13pm on Netflix. Headed up to bed and hanged the year on her calendar and then off to bed! We didn't need the ball drop at midnight, that was enough fun for all of us. It will be a while before Caroline can stay up to midnight and that's okay!
The week of Christmas is always pretty busy, but we try to make it filled with fun too. Alan had the week off so we had some extra time for fun! We got a few things accomplished that we have been wanting too, finished our Christmas chores, and embraced all of the holiday fun. The anticipation was pretty high as we approached Christmas Eve! After Christmas, we relaxed quite a bit and enjoyed the down time. The kids played with their new toys, even Daddy :) I seem to have lost some of the post-Christmas pictures as my phone was maxing out on space (oops!) but hopefully I'll find them soon :(

owed her a big reward from some awesome work she had been doing.

After breakfast and presents we had some down time to play and get ready for everyone to come over for more presents and dinner! George took a nap and when he woke up, everyone was arriving so it was perfect timing. I didn't get my nice formal of Caroline and George since Caroline was already in the process of showing everyone her gifts and opening up new ones, but oh well. Uncle Richard got some good shots and everyone had fun and that's what counts!
