Rainy Soccer Practise

Saturday was our fourth soccer practise and so far we've experienced almost every kind of weather. The first was frigid cold, then blazing hot, then mild but soggy grass and today was cold and foggy that quickly turned to a drizzle. The kids did great though, even if they complained a little. The coach told them this was nothing in England and to keep playing and moving and they'd be warm :)
Caroline is really enjoying soccer and even after a quick head-on collision was back out with the group.

Kennebunk Fire/Rescue Open House '14

Thursday evening Caroline, Daddy and myself went to West Kennebunk for their annual open house while Gramma stayed home with George. We've taken Caroline three years straight and always have a lot of fun. Caroline got to ride in the ladder truck, which she had hoped for, walk through the smoke house twice, hang out in a patrol car, chat with Sparky and eat and get some cool stuff!

Pumpkin Pictures!

Get ready, there are a lot of pictures ahead! We were trying to capture George in the pumpkins like we did with Caroline when she was 6 months old. Obviously, these came out a little differently which is OK since George is a little different :) He's always on the move now so getting him to sit still is a huge issue. If he wasn't banging on the pumpkins, trying to eat them, or get up and crawl away, I snapped a shot and here is what we got :)

George is 10 Months!

Oh Georgie, you're growing too fast! George turned 10 months two weeks ago and he's been keeping us busy! Since he turned 10 months he's been climbing steps and really pulling up on everything. Just before hitting 10 months he also got his first tooth, his lower right front tooth. He's currently about 28 pounds. He loves music, books, teddy bears, anything his sister is doing, and getting into lots of trouble :) These pictures are getting harder and harder to take. He is constantly on the move and wants to destroy everything immediately. The first picture below he was literally just sat down and already was after both the bear and the paper :)

Week of 9/28 in Pictures

Another week in our crazy household! This week mommy had a few appointments, Caroline was busy with school and lunch dates, and George was working on getting into more things :) At the end of the week we celebrated with some Chinese. Caroline ate SO many new things, George was awesome and loves white rice and Gramma and I actually got to eat most of our meal :) Caroline finished the week with another soccer practice, luckily it was mild but it had rained so she got very wet from the grass!

 Now he thinks he can carry things up the stairs!

Lovejoy Apple Picking Gathering

On Sunday we headed to Giles Apple Orchard to pick some apples with the Lovejoy cousins. Alan organized this and hopefully we'll do this every year to get to know them better, there are so many children Caroline and George's age so it's great to get them together! This year, our family, Jeremy/Jess/Cole, Brandye/Josh/Owen and then as we were finishing up Heidi/Jackson and Sasha showed up! It was a gorgeous day! Very warm, almost a bit too warm at 86 + degrees. We picked some apples, selected some pumpkins, and most importantly we were able to grab some apple cider donuts!
