Week of 7/13 in Pictures

This week was kind of a "week off" from a lot of activities, yet it still seemed busy. George had a PT appointment after a month-long hiatus. He was also very sleepy this week, maybe he's growing...more...??? We did lots of goofing around at home and some household chores finally got done. Caroline had a sleepover at Nana and Grampy's and Daddy, Mommy and George went out to eat after his helmet appointment. We ended the week with a playdate with friends we haven't seen in ages, Rusty and Bella. On Saturday, Caroline went to see the Cinderella play with Nana and Grampy, but I'll make that a separate post since it was pretty special :)

George Baptism "Formals"

Just like with Caroline, we wanted to get some more pictures of George in his baptism romper before he outgrew it. It's so nice to get some good shots of them looking their best/sweetest. While Caroline went to the playhouse with Nana and Grampy, we took advantage of a quiet morning and went out in the backyard and took these. I'm really happy :) He is 8 months as of today. Tomorrow we'll actually go out and get his "monthly" pictures as well! Oh, and I haven't forgotten! I know I still owe the blog pictures from the actual baptism!!!!

Week of 7/6 in Pictures

Last Monday Alan took off from work so Caroline, Gramma and I had "Girl's Day" (as Caroline calls it) We had lunch and did some shopping. Alan and Caroline also took the first dip in the pool of the season. On Wednesday, George had his helmet appointment. We thought it would be his last but they recommended we try having him wear it at night just for some fine tuning. We're not so sure anymore, but we have another appointment in three weeks so we'll see what we end up doing :) Gramma left on Thursday but she'll be returning in a couple of weeks with Aunt June and cousin Elissa so we weren't too sad. Friday night Caroline got to stay up really late and I took her for a ride to the beach to see the Super Moon.

This month was "camping" and we built this little fire and roasted "marshmallows"

The 5th of July!

This year the 4th of July fireworks were postponed until the 5th of July because of hurricane Arthur. So, on the 4th we stayed home and had hot dogs here and then had family movie night with The Lego Movie and made decadent ice cream sundaes. On the 5th of July, we headed to the marina after naps and had dinner, crabbed, socialized and enjoyed the beautiful weather. There weren't many pictures of this since Daddy was on kid duty since I had a drink spill accident that, combined with traffic etc., meant I was away for a good portion. Afterwards, Gramma took George home and we headed out on the boat to watch the fireworks. I think the 4th of July may just rank up there with Memorial Day for Caroline now, if there was a local parade that would seal the deal!

George is 7 Months!

Well, actually he is one week shy of 8 months and these pictures were taken at almost 7.5 months, but we can't NOT show these pictures :) George is becoming quite the mover so they are getting harder to do. We got really behind on these since we were so busy with the baptism, Gramma's visit, Daddy's birthday and the 4th of July. But I PROMISE 8 months will be taken and shown on time darn it!
At 7 months, George weighed 25lbs and 4 oz. He was starting to really scoot and finally starting to eat some solid foods and enjoy them. This past month, 7 to 8, has shown huge changes that I'll share with you next week when we do those 8 month pictures :)
