Caroline's Pre-ballet Showcase

Caroline's pre-ballet class finished up on Saturday and they held a showcase for family members to come watch. They demonstrated the positions and moves they have learned, terminology, and they had a performance. The past few weeks it's all really clicked with Caroline that she needs to tie everything together for her performance. We practiced her dance a few times Monday night and she did her own run through Friday night. She was pretty good! The day of the performance the teacher stood to the side so she couldn't see her well, but she did great. We were all so proud of her. She had the biggest smile and was so happy when everyone clapped. You could hear her heart sing! Lots of pictures and a few videos!

Meeting the Easter Bunny & Egg Dying

On Friday the kids and I headed towards the mall to meet the Easter Bunny. This was only my second time really taking them out and about together by myself and they were wonderful! Caroline was a super helper and so cooperative and George was a happy guy when he woke up. I opted to change him into his outfit once we arrived and he was a bit startled to wake up and find himself in the bathroom surrounded by a bunch of ladies admiring the handsome little guy :) He was so smiley for the camera but the photographer started shaking a rattle which caused him to get serious, sigh. Either way, they were great for the picture and looked adorable! Caroline also made a picture for the bunny and he was very happy with it which made her so excited!
That evening we dyed our eggs and decorated them. This was the first year we did this and it was a lot of fun. Brought back a lot of memories!

Handsome little guy, even on a changing table!
(always gotta grab a shot just in case the outfit doesn't last!)

 Waiting for the bunny!

George was too sleepy to decorate eggs

Week in Pictures 4/16

Another week has flown by and I feel like we are racing towards May! Caroline had her 4 yr checkup this week and did wonderfully as always. A little bit of tears this time around for her vaccination, I suppose since she is more aware, but she was fine afterwards and as always, they made her sleepy afterwards. She weighed in at 33lbs and is 40in. Healthy and strong as always! The rest of the week we did our usual things, in addition to getting ready for Easter and Caroline's pre-ballet showcase.

We all love to tickle George :)

Our big girl finally gets to use her quilt that Aunt Kathy made for her first birthday :)
Such a big girl!

George was cuddly, congested and possibly teething?

Many mornings we find George like this, having used his feet to turn on his mobile :)

The only problem is he is as long as the crib is wide, so it makes for a tight and uncomfortable fit

Caroline and I enjoyed our first picnic outside since it was so gorgeous out

George is such a strong boy now, playing and throwing his larger toys around

While we are still having some cold days, with even a little bit of snow, things are awakening!

Week of 4/6 in Photos

After the let down of birthday celebrations, last week was getting back regular day to day life. Granted, there were still appointments and school but we slipped in some fun as well. Now that the warmer weather has begun to tease us, things will start to get fun around here on a day to day basis. Yay for open doors and windows and fun outside!!!

George stretching to show off how long he is :)

George did a lot of sleeping the beginning of the week
Think the party stuff wore him out, that and he was growing more!

4 years old means bringing the pigtails back for school :)

He rarely falls asleep holding him anymore so we always capture it :)

Big boy getting his head measured for a helmet.
Everyone can't believe he is only 4.5 months!

Playing on his new Dr. Seuss quilt

Umm, you were on the mat facing the other way not 20 seconds ago mister!

Caroline decorating her cousin Elissa's birthday card who turns 4 a week after Caroline!

Hey there cute stuff

He was honestly happier than this face shows!

Friday was mild, 53, so we showed George the backyard. Our first venture out in the yard without snow!

 George on parade!

We finished the mild day off with the first cone of the season

 While George slept :)

We even got a rare glimpse of those chubby legs

Post ballet bun. I kept wanting to cut her hair since
I swore it would only be shoulder length while she was young, but she has the most gorgeous hair !

Caroline not listening so well, surprise :)
This was their dress rehersal for their showcase next week
