Fryeburg Fair '12

On Friday we headed to the Fryeburg Fair with Nanny and Grampy. Daddy took the day off of work and we were very excited. Caroline kept asking if it was fair day! Caroline was an amazing little trooper the entire day. We spent the whole day there and she only needed to use the potty three times. She had lots of yummy fair food, like a foot-long hot dog, some ice cream, and fried dough. She had so much fun seeing all of the animals and still talks about the big cows and the sheep that needed little coats to keep them warm. She loved the rides and I think they were her favorite part. She played the "fishing/duckie" game and won this weird looking horse/wild boar? gripper stick and she plays with that all day long. She is very proud that she fished for it in the little pool and won it all by herself! The fair is always fun, but having Caroline around makes it extra fun!

Going in for a closer look of the pigs

I'm not sure who liked each other better!
This goat jumped right up when Caroline started petting it

There she goes, on her first ride by herself *snif snif*

Help isn't far away at all though!

Fast asleep, but had to hold Mommy's hand the whole way home

Friday's Photos

The past week was pretty busy around here. We started the weekend with a birthday party for one of our friend's daughter's first birthday. It was at the Bounce Zone which is one of Caroline's favorite places. The rest of the week was filled with lots of rain so some things were canceled, but we still managed to have fun.

She kept choosing to be in the most dangerous spots!

No pizza for her, she was having too much fun with the favors!

A tutu for the birthday girl. I'm a roll lately :)

Being silly at home after her nap. We had to sing Happy Birthday to everyone

Another day at gymnastics, another round of the rings!
She throws her legs up and hooks them into the rings.
She also did the bar in the background and walked up on the wall.
Lots of upper body strength my monkey has :)

Storytime with Gramma

I ran upstairs to record Caroline and Gramma reading the night before Gramma left, but of course my phone was acting up and then when I ran back with my Flip they were mostly done. Still, it was sweet :) I'll have to get Caroline on tape when she reads with Daddy. She is quite funny reading The Very Hungry Caterpillar as she lists what she does like and doesn't like!

Last Night of Gramma's Visit

Gramma's last day was a busy one filled with lots of shopping, silly moments, the completion of Caroline's Halloween costume, and more silly moments. We always try to take some pictures before Caroline goes to bed, but someone was a little hyper. We also totally don't get pictures of me, mom, and Caroline like we always do either. Oh well, we need another visit from Gramma :)
The pictures are blurry because of wrong camera settings and a wiggly worm little girl, but still fun to share!

Caroline went and grabbed the blue bird Gramma brought for her. They love to sing Zip-a-dee Doo Dah and now they each have a bluebird to hold during Skype

Afterwards, Mommy and Caroline had to play the piano :)

Riding her bike on the new driveway!

Caroline received a bicycle from her cousins a few months ago, but between not having a helmet at first and then not having a driveway, she hasn't ridden it since June. She did really well the first time around and after a few seconds she riding around no problem. Since these videos she has gained a lot of speed too! I can't believe my little girl is already riding a two-wheeler with training wheels. *sigh*

More gymnastics

Caroline is getting better and better at gymnastics. In just a few short weeks she has really grown with her listening skills and patience. She takes turns and listens to her coach. She also trusts her coach more and will do anything she asks. During this session Gramma came along with us. It was a smaller group so it was fun having her there. Apparently, I missed a great photo-op while talking to one of the other parents. Gramma, the coach, and another mother were all impressed when Caroline was swinging from the rings with her hands and feet in them! Since day one she has loved the rings!

Fun times with Gramma

The weather wasn't always the best during Gramma's stay, but we still had a lot of fun. We went shopping in the Old Port and then headed to the mall to get a few more things for Caroline's Halloween costume. More importantly, we were there to ride some rides!  We also went out to dinner at The Ramp in Cape Porpoise and after eating a massive bowl of pasta Caroline asked for ice cream. Who were we to disappoint? So we found out way to Dairy Queen!
