Week of 7/5 in Pictures

What a busy week! Caroline started camp back at Gymnation this week. She went Monday and Wednesday and she'll go next week on Tuesday. Then back again for three days in August. Just a little something to break the monotony. She had so much fun and loved it. It was also a big test to see if she could last the entire day since it was from 9am to 4pm! There was a lot of swimming in the pool as well. George found his groove and loves it, always waking up in the morning saying,"pool." He loves floating around with only the tube now and Caroline is no longer using floaties or anything and is a little fishy who can touch the bottom with her feet and put her head under water! There were some other things we did that I'll post in the next posts, but on Saturday night we headed to East with Gramma for a special dinner out before she moved back to New York. The kids were beyond perfect, Caroline and George tried so many new things, and the food was delicious! Afterwards, we walked the docks of Wells harbor and then headed home for some S'mores!

 Caroline and I had a conversation and it backfried for Mommy, 

but Caroline wants to make ALL of her own food now. 

She came home from the farm and got her her own water

and started making a sandwich. George followed her around thinking it was 

hilarious!

Happy 4th of July!

The day started off cloudy and blah. We did some things around the house and the yard and kept hoping the sun would come out. It didn't, so Nana and Grampy came over to our house and we ate here. Alan made a delicious brisket in his new smoker and we made a festive cherry and blueberry pie per Caroline's request. After we filled our bellies the shy cleared up and we headed to the marina. The evening weather was just perfect! We loaded up the boat and headed out to watch the fireworks. This time George and Gramma came with us which was a lot of fun. The kids were really good and were patient as we waited for the sun to set and the fireworks to start. Afterwards, we headed back to the marina and set off the last remaining Chinese lanterns that we had leftover from last year. Caroline's friend from school, Hallie, was there with her family so they lit them together. They did some sparklers and then we took two very sleepy children back home. The adults were very sleepy too! It was a lot of fun spending the holiday all together and sharing a Caroline's first time using a sparkler and George's first time on the boat at night and watching the fireworks !

Week of 6/28 in Pictures

This week was filled with a flurry of activities with the Very Fairy Tea Party, Alan's birthday, Alan taking off from work, and the 4th of July. In between that we tried to relax a bit in preparation for the upcoming fun and throw in some fun as well.

 Sunday morning we were tired from the wedding

festivities so we lounged around a bit

 Then Caroline and Daddy got married

 Monday was back to our normal playtime

 Caroline realizing that sometimes, science doesn't 

work out the way it's suppose to.

 George woke up and decided he wanted the toy 

cars that have been on the shelves above his crib 

since he was born :)

 Someone wouldn't nap so I rocked him. 

He pretended to be asleep until I caught him with my camera.
