George Baptism "Formals"

Just like with Caroline, we wanted to get some more pictures of George in his baptism romper before he outgrew it. It's so nice to get some good shots of them looking their best/sweetest. While Caroline went to the playhouse with Nana and Grampy, we took advantage of a quiet morning and went out in the backyard and took these. I'm really happy :) He is 8 months as of today. Tomorrow we'll actually go out and get his "monthly" pictures as well! Oh, and I haven't forgotten! I know I still owe the blog pictures from the actual baptism!!!!

Week of 7/6 in Pictures

Last Monday Alan took off from work so Caroline, Gramma and I had "Girl's Day" (as Caroline calls it) We had lunch and did some shopping. Alan and Caroline also took the first dip in the pool of the season. On Wednesday, George had his helmet appointment. We thought it would be his last but they recommended we try having him wear it at night just for some fine tuning. We're not so sure anymore, but we have another appointment in three weeks so we'll see what we end up doing :) Gramma left on Thursday but she'll be returning in a couple of weeks with Aunt June and cousin Elissa so we weren't too sad. Friday night Caroline got to stay up really late and I took her for a ride to the beach to see the Super Moon.

The 5th of July!

This year the 4th of July fireworks were postponed until the 5th of July because of hurricane Arthur. So, on the 4th we stayed home and had hot dogs here and then had family movie night with The Lego Movie and made decadent ice cream sundaes. On the 5th of July, we headed to the marina after naps and had dinner, crabbed, socialized and enjoyed the beautiful weather. There weren't many pictures of this since Daddy was on kid duty since I had a drink spill accident that, combined with traffic etc., meant I was away for a good portion. Afterwards, Gramma took George home and we headed out on the boat to watch the fireworks. I think the 4th of July may just rank up there with Memorial Day for Caroline now, if there was a local parade that would seal the deal!

George is 7 Months!

Well, actually he is one week shy of 8 months and these pictures were taken at almost 7.5 months, but we can't NOT show these pictures :) George is becoming quite the mover so they are getting harder to do. We got really behind on these since we were so busy with the baptism, Gramma's visit, Daddy's birthday and the 4th of July. But I PROMISE 8 months will be taken and shown on time darn it!
At 7 months, George weighed 25lbs and 4 oz. He was starting to really scoot and finally starting to eat some solid foods and enjoy them. This past month, 7 to 8, has shown huge changes that I'll share with you next week when we do those 8 month pictures :)

Week in Pictures 6/29

On to playing catch up! You may have noticed I haven't posted George's 7 month pictures or his baptism, but I'm getting there! In the meantime, here are a few snipits of what we were up during this week. Gramma was up visiting so we did a lot of playing around the house and yard, just relaxing after a busy week preparing for George's baptism. We also had Alan's birthday and the 4th of July to keep us busy. We didn't get too many pictures, but I'll post those in a separate post! George has been moving and eating a lot lately. He's still such a goof and loves to be around people, but he has hit that determined stage where he is relentless and will get what he wants no matter how far he has to travel!

Happy Birthday Alan!

I'm going to be doing some back tracking since we've been very, very busy around these parts the past few weeks. I figured I'd start with Alan's birthday! While Alan had to work on his birthday he was greeted first thing in the morning by both kids and cards. When he got home from work, he was greeted by signs and paintings! We all headed to the Steakhouse for dinner, Alan, Me, the kids, Gramma, Nana, and Grampy. There was a wait and the kids got pretty restless. Needless to say, as always we will not be going through that for Mommy's birthday ;) Afterwards, we came back for cake. Happy birthday Alan, we love you!
