Week in Pictures

This past week we dealt with what is our usual now, very high temperatures and heavy rain. Either way, we were indoors a lot again. As always, we kept busy at home and running errands, etc. Caroline had her allergist appointment that included a peanut challenge and she did well so we will progress with that and I had my 20 week ultrasound. Caroline and Alan both came to that so she got to see her big brother, or more importantly play with all of the cool stuff at the office! We ended the weekend off with an ice cream cone at Big Daddy's. Our table, new year! It's amazing to think she had her first taste of ice cream there three years ago!

A Weekend at Home

After a busy week, we decided to stay home for the weekend and keep things quiet. Granted, exhaustion and some altered sleep routines helped that decision :) With this hot weather we've been having, it was good to simply relax. After a slow start on Saturday, we had some fun in the pool and then headed to Hot Diggity Dog for some hot dogs. Came back for a nap and then headed out to do a few things, which included Dairy Queen for dinner and came home for a sandwich for dessert. Of course this was followed by more pool time!
Sunday was pretty much the same, except we headed to the marina for some S'mores and then to bed for a good nights sleep!

Happy 4th of July!

I'm a few days late getting these pictures up but I wanted to combine pictures from all of the different cameras! We had a wonderful 4th of July this year. We started the day with some relaxing at home. Playing in the water table and the pool. Caroline and Daddy took a quick trip to Target to pick up some more fun pool toys. We had an easy morning in hopes that Caroline would be able to stay up and watch her first fireworks show! After her nap, we packed up the coolers and headed to the marina for a BBQ. First, we did a little fishing, where Caroline caught 2 mackerel on her first try. She caught another two and then we headed back to the marina to cook some dinner. After dinner we loaded up on a friend's boat and set off to watch the fireworks from the water. The night was gorgeous. No wind and the ocean was nice and calm. The fireworks show was wonderful and watching it from the water was amazing! Caroline was a trooper and loved it! We made it home and put her to bed at 10:30, way past her bedtime, but she was full of life the next morning telling me all about the previous night :)

Happy Birthday Daddy!

Last Tuesday, July 2nd, was Daddy's birthday. The night before Caroline gave Alan a big hug and said, "Goodnight Birthday Boy!" We about died laughing. The next day, while Daddy worked, we made artwork for him, got cards ready, and baked his cake. The cake didn't turn out so well because of the extreme temperatures and humidity we had, but it still tasted good! We went to The Steakhouse with Nanny & Grampy and came back for dessert. We think Daddy had a good birthday :) We love you Daddy!

A Weekend at Home

This past weekend we decided to stay home and relax. Get a few projects done around the house and play outside in between rain storms. We accomplished a lot and we had a lot of fun doing it!

The Pool, the Fire Station, and the Playhouse

This past week was a busy one for Caroline. We finally got the pool set up and warm enough to swim in, no thanks to lots of rain from Mother Nature. We also took a trip to her favorite place, The Mall, and did a tour of the Wells Fire Station. The afternoon after the fire station tour Grampy and Nana came by and delivered Caroline's playhouse. Or, as she likes to call it, her "clinic" since she loves Doc McStuffins :) Now, if Mother Nature would cooperate, we can finally get to playing with all of this stuff!!!
