Making Gingerbread Men

As I was downloading swimming pictures I noticed there were some pictures that I never got a chance to see from Christmas eve. I was busy in the kitchen that day and Caroline helped me out by making some gingerbread men. We cut the shapes out in the morning and then after nap we decorated them. I thought I'd share since she had a lot of fun and it hasn't been that long since Christmas :)

Swimming Lessons

This morning was Caroline's first day of swimming lessons. The first thing out of her mouth over the monitor was, "Mommy! We have to go to swimming lessons today!" We headed out early and she was very excited to go into the locker rooms at the gym and see all of the other kids and adults. The water, eh she would have been happier hanging out with less kids and just with Daddy at camp. Next time I will have to bring my Nikon since the movement of the water and kids means lots of going out of focus! She wasn't a huge fan but there were no tears or anything. At home she says she doesn't like swimming lessons because she doesn't like splashing, diving, or jumping. Well, she has 7 more visits to decide if she wants to sign up for the next session :P

Friday Photos & Movies

Nothing eventful happened this past week so there is simply a random photo and movie post. This past week was all about getting back into the swing of things. A full 5 day week and no one was really happy about it! We made it to Friday though and can't wait for the weekend! Swimming lessons tomorrow so lots of pictures to come I am sure!

Being Silly

The other night I was testing out a new memory card I got for my camera where it downloads instantly to my laptop. I wasn't in focus and wasn't really trying to capture any pictures, just trying to snap a few to test the download process. In Caroline's playroom, Caroline and Alan were playing and being silly. A few shots actually came out relatively decent and I thought I'd share :)

Holiday Vacation

Here are a few pictures of the past week in between Christmas and New Years Day. Alan took off Friday and Monday and had yesterday off so it ended up being a nice little vacation. Nothing planned and lots of time to do it :) We ran a few errands, had a BIG lunch at Red Robin, played around the house a lot, played in the snow a lot, went and visited Great Grammie, and had breakfast at Congdon's on New Years morning (and brought home some doughnuts too!) It was a great little vacation and we can't wait to do this again!

New Years Eve

Well, we already said, "Happy New Years!" but I figured I would show you how we partied :)

Caroline and Daddy went out and played in the snow and brought in her "snowbaby." Then we made popcorn and watched Dumbo. Goofed around downstairs and then went to bed. Mommy went to bed shortly after that and Daddy stayed up and watched the ball drop. Woot woot! :)
