Caroline's Second Birthday Party!

Saturday, March 31st was Caroline's second birthday party. We had a lot of friends and family over and had a great time. The kids enjoyed the toys, snacks, and of course the bounce house we rented! Below are some of my favorite pictures of the day.

Kids took home puppy favor boxes, puppy sugar cookies, soft puppies, and puppy balloons!

The Lobster Shack with Devon and Gramma

I have a LOT of pictures to go through for Caroline's birthday party, but I wanted to share some from Gramma and Devon's visit up here as well. The day after Caroline's party we headed up to Cape Elizabeth and took Devon to the Lobster Shack at Two Lights. It's the perfect place to get great food and see the coast of Maine.
Caroline and Daddy had a lot of fun on the rocks. She also came away with her favorite new t-shirt from Gramma that reads, "Duck, Duck, Moose." Two of her favorite animals! She had her first taste of lobster and didn't care for it, but it did have mayo on it so we'll give it a try by itself and with some warm butter soon :) The kid loves calamari, she has to like lobster!
Afterwards, we headed to Tractor Supply so we could all see the baby ducks and chicks!

Gorgeous March Weather!

It was absolutely gorgeous here yesterday, and the rest of the week. High 60's t0 low 70's is very rare in Maine in March! Although, everyone told me the end of March/beginning of April was beautiful two years ago, but I was busy :)
Alan and I got a few projects around the house finished and then after Caroline's nap we hit the park!

Absolutely no fear of going up on the high slides!

We even met a friend who turns 2 on April 5th. Funny part was Caroline was about 2 inches taller!

While Alan finished putting the shutters up, Caroline and the dogs had a lot of fun running around the yard!

Drive!

Alan was looking for something in my car last night and he took Caroline out there with him. I came out to tell him something and I saw that Caroline had the biggest grin on her face. I asked her what she was doing and she said, "Drive!" Tucker and Lucy were along for the ride. She even found my gloves and put them on, you know you need driving gloves :)

A ballerina and her puppies

Caroline has been into wearing her tutu a lot lately. Of course she has to have her coordinating headband as well. She spins and twirls and lifts her hands up to the air when she wears it and says, "Dance!" Honestly, I don't know where she gets it from because I am definitely not a ballerina!
I caught her on the floor giving Tucker kisses. She and Tucker are best buds now and she is always sneaking kisses to him, especially since his recent grooming, "Cute!"

Nor'Easter

We haven't had much snow this winter, but today made up for it. We're at 13 inches and it's still going pretty good. This morning and afternoon I went out to shovel. Caroline wasn't that interested in going out and I remember her earlier in the season not enjoying the snow so I didn't push it. I told her when Daddy got home we'd all go out. While I shoveled, she stuck her bare belly to the sliding glass door. Thanks kiddo. Yes, you're warm :)

When Daddy got home she ran and got gloves and a hat and said outside. Then screamed outside when Daddy wasn't catching the hint. We all went outside and she seemed pretty content. Until we mentioned coming back in. "Snow White Snow! MY snow! Like Snow!" We had to bribe her to come back inside. That only worked for a few minutes. She's on a rant again :)

This feels great, really!

Daddy, you did this last year and I wasn't keen then.

Why? Are you going to do this to me EVERY year?
