Sea Dogs & Splashtown

Another summer list item was attending a Sea Dogs game. We hadn't been in a couple of years and only when George was too little to remember. They both earned tickets from their summer reading through the library. We outfitted them with some new baseball hats and were ready to go. We met a really nice gentleman who sat in front of us and chatted with the kids and cheered them on during the dance contests. He also bought us all Sea Dog biscuits. Free ice cream is great, but having the kids meet someone kind takes the cake!

Caroline received a Splashtown pass from Aunt Barbara and Uncle Rick for her birthday so we headed there towards the end of August. It was unseasonably freezing that day but that didn't hamper her fun. George loved the slides last year but wasn't feeling them this year so he and I mostly hung around the kiddie pool. Caroline did all of the big kid slides, even the tornado, except the individual plunge slides and only because I said, "NO!" :)
