The Rochester Fair

A fair is a veritable smorgasbord orgasbord orgasbord... Everyone loves a fair and we were very excited to go to one after taking a break last year since George was so little. We decided that we would go to the Rochester Fair since Fryeburg is so far away and the kids would already be at their limit by the time we got there. We were right, because even after this fair, we had all hit our limit :) We had lots of fun seeing the animals, riding rides, watching the tractor pull, and eating yummy foods, but it was hot and a long day and the kids got melty and tears were coming more often and then we were just done too. Ahh the fair :) I write the honest truth so we remember this and maybe take next year off and simply take the kids to the farm and see animals for free, buy a toy on amazon for them, and eat a decent meal. I know, not as much fun, but just as fun since kids are pretty easy to please. Granted, we were all very excited about seeing the giraffes. Have never seen them up close before so that was very cool!

aww

Why hello up there!

These guys were on break from the circus,
which we didn't get to see, but it was still neat seeing them.
George loves zebras in his books

and a kangaroo??!?!

Keep that big tongue away from me!

Caroine is a big Kindergartener now, which
means she eats pizza now :)

Piggies!!!

Right there mama! Piggies!

Moo!!!!!

and DUCKS!!!!

Caroline has a new favorite ride, which is
great since this is Mommy's :)

A selfie on the school bus ride

Please excuse the slow mo, I was trying something on
my camera. Didn't realize it would be SO slow mo!
Caroline wanted to go on the slide and I didn't think this would go over
well since she cried about the one on the fun house.
Well, she rode on Daddy's lap and loved it enough
to go back up and ride on her own potato sack!!!

After a lot of tears and decisions, Caroline decided that
she wanted us to simply buy her a giant pink snack from Amazon
instead of playing. The only thing she wanted would have cost us over $40
at the fair *if* we could even win it was $12 there. We were all
for her playing some of the easy games, but she said no....

George loved watching the tractors while we waited for
Caroline and Alan to get back with ice cream.
Which she then cried about because it was melting.
This is where we called it good :)

Daddy the superhero :)
