A Life Filled With Love & Joy: The Journey to South Carolina

It's been a few days since we got back from our week long vacation in South Carolina and I am finally getting a chance to go through the close to one thousand pictures we took and start loading them up on to here. There will be a lot of posts so I can break them down by day or event.
Our trip down to SC was great. Caroline was quite the trooper and did really well. She slept from about Hampton, NH until CT and then we broke for lunch. After that, she didn't sleep the entire trip!

Oh well for nap time :) She never slept at all on the return trip! We took a few extra potty breaks, which Daddy expected but was hoping they wouldn't be 1.5 hours apart, but we still made good time and got to about where we wanted to be for the night. At that point, we were all ready to get out of the car!

Caroline loved our first stop at a hotel. Kiddo went nutso over the mini-fridge, microwave, chairs, having her own big bed, the big mirrors, etc. She loved the idea of having breakfast in the lobby the next morning as well. While she didn't understand the concept of a layover visit to a different hotel that wasn't in SC, she adjusted just fine :)

The next day we made the second leg of our trip and made great timing. Still lots of potty breaks though :) We arrived at the resort at 4pm and got settled in. After that Gramma and Devon came over to visit. For some reason, we got caught up in the visit and forgot to take pictures! Caroline squealed and jumped on the couch when she saw Gramma and DeeDee walk through the door. It was really cute. It was somewhat rainy so we relaxed that evening and admired the pool from the balcony and made plans for the next day. We all crashed pretty early and just like the previous night, Caroline settled into her own very big hotel bed very quickly!
