One of our goals this time in Florida was to hit the beach and really play there. We ran into some problems this time too. We learned that the winter is "windy" season for Florida which made it not so ideal. Then, the beach we heard great things about was closed for renovations! We finally found a spot and walked around and found lots of shells, even enough to make some great favors for Caroline's upcoming birthday party! George played in the sand and he didn't like the water and Caroline ran around enjoying a little bit of everything. We stayed for almost an hour and then took the kids to lunch. Headed back to the house and hung around there. A couple of days later we tried for the beach again, but it was VERY windy, the surf was really rough and the pitch of the beach was really steep. So, no successful swimming or sand castles this trip either.

she was done but there's a bit of the ending and George's

Then the kids went to bed and Alan and I drove into Stuart for some dinner.
Our first stop was WAY too busy so we headed to where we were going to eat.
Nope, couldn't get in there either so we walked around, drove around, and
ended back at the Tiki bar where we first wanted to go for drinks. They had slowed down and it
was perfect. Live music, nice little spot, great drinks and even better food! Alan had a Hawaiian
burger, I had the battered Mahi Mahi, and we shared the pineapple conch fritters!
