Yesterday, we headed to Giles Family Farm and Norte Dame Bakery to pick up some apples, pumpkins, and fresh bread. I've never been apple or pumpkin picking, so I was pretty excited to share this with Caroline and Alan.
We started out at the bakery, grabbing a couple of mini whoopie pies to give us energy for picking. Then we headed to the orchards. We went a little crazy picking and came home with a lot of apples! It wouldn't be a problem if we could bake a lot this week, but my surgery is on Tuesday and we'll be a bit busy!
Caroline had a lot of fun and even found a tiny little apple that was just her size. She carried it for quite a while. We came home with 31 pounds of apples and 2 large pumpkins.
On the way there she had taken her shoes and socks off, but put her shoes back on the right feet!
The best way to enjoy an apple is on Daddy's lap!
Not the prettiest picture, but had to show you just how shiny these apples were!
She's the "pick of the crop"
