Happy Memorial Day!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! We started the weekend off by running some errands on Friday night while Caroline hung out with Nana and Grampy. The biggest item we needed to get was an air conditioner for Caroline's room. We were in the 50's last week, but Summer is here with temps in the low 80's this week! Saturday we did things around the house and Sunday we finally got a little more in the Holiday Weekend spirit.

Sunday, Grampy and Daddy's finished up the back deck and we set up Caroline's water table. She loved getting soaked. Think this will be a big hit this Summer! Then, we had a cookout and Caroline got to enjoy her first bite of watermelon. She wasn't too impressed since it wasn't a Dorito like everyone else was having!

Monday morning we woke up and went to the parade in town. Caroline wasn't too impressed waiting for the parade to begin. It was nap time, after all. When the parade started and she realized she could wave and clap to her heart's content, she decided she loved parades. Add in a marching band or two and she was a happy camper!

We came home for a quick nap, that lasted two hours, and then headed up to the Welch's camp. It was so much nicer up there. We had no breeze at home, but there was a nice breeze at camp. no swimming this time, but we had great fun playing with the dogs, waving and greeting everyone, getting our toes dirty for the first time, and enjoying some more food off the BBQ.

Overall, it was a great way to kick off Summer! Alan and I are looking forward to many more fun weekends with our kiddo. Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Having fun with her water table.Absolutely soaked!

She LOVED being up on Daddy's shoulders. Higher than anyone else :)

Quick snooze before we head to camp

Caroline loved petting the 'big' puppies and getting lots of kisses!

Fresh air does a baby good. :)
