Sunday evening we decided to carve our pumpkins. Although we're almost a week away from Halloween, we've learned that doing them after Alan gets home from work is always too late. Now that Caroline is in school and going to bed at 6:30 it would be even worse! Caroline let Alan clean up her pumpkin (she's never been one on the seed removal or as she calls it, goop) and got right to work. She has become a pro at this. She needed a little help here and there, but did such a good job on her own. George and Alan took care of the other three pumpkins (one didn't make it and was thrown to the woods for the deer). George LOVED cleaning out the pumpkin. While they were doing that I was on pumpkin seed roasting duty. We made a good team and got the pumpkins done in no time and up to baths and bed.
