4th of July

I hope everyone had a wonderful 4th of July!

We started off the day with a late breakfast at Caroline's Godparents, Barbara and Richard's, house for a wonderful breakfast. We filled our bellies with some great homemade waffles, with fresh strawberries, some whipped cream, maple syrup, bacon, and mimosas! We hung out there the rest of the morning while Caroline enjoyed being the center of attention.

We headed home around 1pm for a quick nap and then we were going to go to the marina and grill and go for a boat ride. Hopefully, staying up late enough to catch the fireworks.  What really happened was the sky turned black and a nasty storm came. We grilled at home, stayed up past our regular bedtime, but missed the fireworks. Our neighbors has some going, but that was already after Caroline had gone to bed. Oh well, there is always next year. The good thing is she doesn't know what she is missing yet!

We do have a few pictures of Miss Caroline though. Every year I take some pictures of her in her silly 4th headband that Gramma got her when she was a baby.  So, in the morning, before breakfast and then before we were going to head out to the marina we took some pictures. Here are a few funny ones :)

I tell her to smile and she looks upwards and does this :)

She is becoming a little poser for photos!

Cheese!

Oh, and I had to add these two for the past two years :)
