Friday Photos

A day late, a dollar short? :) I was hoping to get some more pictures last night to add to this post as well, but those are on the other camera so they wont show up today anyways. Oh well! We did have fun as the warmer weather is bringing us outdoors more and outdoors means a happier family. Even movie nights like last night are more fun. Being inside and watching TV is already a novelty!

A little chilly, but still time for golf!

 The tadpoles hatched!

 My lunch date :)
We need to do this more often, she and I

 Tending to our garden

Gramma calls her "Hollywood" now :)

I found her like this after nap

She was taking long, exaggerated bows but once I got the camera out she stopped.
She dressed herself so that is why the dress is on backwards :)

Weekend Fun!

This weekend wasn't really warm, but there was sun. As long as you stayed in the sun and bundled up from the wind it was perfect! We tried to be outside as much as possible and we got a few things done around here. Alan set up the first half of Caroline's swing-set so when she woke up we surprised her with it :) She was very happy and excited to go "super fast!"

This should make an interesting couple of weeks in our house :)

 Caroline giving Daddy a push

She went from needing help, to doing it herself, to being a big kid on her knees and stomach in a matter for 5 minutes tops!

Last Week in Pictures

Last Friday things were just so chaotic that I never got these pictures up. Between keeping a constant eye on the news on my phone and trying to play with Caroline so she wouldn't sense anything was wrong with our world, I just didn't have time. Then, this weekend we had lots of fun. So, here are last weeks pictures and I'll get this past weekend's up soon as well :)

 Caroline's version of Grampy?

Checking out Daddy's new tablet after the circus

 Shh! She is camping!

Look what we got from Home Depot :P

After nap Caroline set up a whole party for her friends!

Before I even got upstairs she had everything ready.

The Circus!

The Kora Shrine Circus was in town so Alan took the day off so we could bring Caroline. We usually try to do something special for her birthday, just the three of us, and we thought this would be perfect! Caroline had such a great time. The funny thing was her favorite parts were the 'flippy floppy' seats, the pirates walking around which she refused to say, "Hi" to, and the cotton candy. When we left the circus we had plans to go and grab a bite to eat but Caroline was fading. We hadn't mentioned this to her, but all of a sudden from the back seat we here, "Can we go to a restaurant?" We laughed and turned around and she was out. Her last little battle cry!

That night, over the monitor we heard, "Ladies and gentleman! Boys and Girls! and babies! the show is ABOUT TO START!" I think it's safe to say she enjoyed herself!

On a somber note, we were very thankful that our plans had our entire family in Portland seeing the circus rather than Alan working in Boston. Sadly, as all know by now, the Boston Marathon finish line was attacked. Fortunately, all we know who were down there are safe. It is definitely eery since those were my old stomping grounds and we would watch or volunteer at the marathon. We went to bed with heavy hearts for those that were injured or killed but thankful that our family went to see the circus and were safe and sound.

3 Year Checkup

Caroline had her three year check up last week. As always, there were no concerns from us or the doctor. He was amazed at her vocabulary and her speech. Words like quesadila and rhinoceros are nothing for us Dr. Farrand lol. She had fun coloring, she got her new yearly book, and even got her blood pressure taken!

Her stats:

Weight 28.9 30% Took us a long time to get to almost 29 pounds! I thought she would still be under 20% but this is the highest percentage she's ever been. Woohoo!

Height: 37" which brings her down quite a bit of percentage at 48%, but she still is usually the tallest.

So, all in all we have a healthy, strong, active and intelligent little girl. Didn't need an appointment to hear that :) Oh, best part? No shots! Woohoo!

The Quiet After the Storm

Sunday, the day after the party was all about doing nothing. We lounged, we put together new presents, we snacked on leftovers, and we bounced in the bounce house for a little while longer before packing it up. It was lovely :)

Yeah, we may have had a cupcake and cake for breakfast :P

 Playing with Hello Kitty

Finishing her art with her mac n cheese nearby :P
